Teacup pigs are a growing trend in North America, known by various names like Nano Pigs, Micro Pigs, Miniature Pigs, and Mini Pigs. These intelligent animals are surprisingly clean and can even be litter box trained at just a few days old.
Training your teacup piglet is easy with positive reinforcement and small treats. They’re much friendlier than regular-sized pigs and thrive on human attention. However, it’s essential to establish boundaries early on to avoid behavior issues.
The first few days with your teacup piglet may be challenging, but with patience and consistency, they’ll quickly warm up to you. By week 6, they’ll be ready to start going on walks with a halter and leash, although it’s essential to introduce them to it gradually.
